Projects Goals
  • To work in co-operation with Partner NGOs and schools in each city.
  • To initiate and train a stable group of young people that will work on the issues of water pollution and water supply in "developing countries", and by that improve the capability of ART at WORK in training young people and multipliers in development topics.
  • To create a moving street workshop that will capture interest, motivate people, transport and show ideas from one city to the next and with that stimulate communication and direct co-operation between young people and communities in the different cities
  • To develop a large data bank of sustainable ideas, that focus on the river, water usage and create positive ripples in the life of each city.
Project Goals For Public Awareness Raising
  • To develop in people, and in particular young people and children a special relationship to water.
  • To make a project that helps them to understand the direct connection between their living patterns and the quality of their water in their surroundings, but especially in a global perspective.
  • To build awareness of the daily problems that "their neighbours" face in southern lands in just getting clean water to drink to underline the important role of the water issue for a sustainable development (see importance of the water issue in the program of Rio + 10 conference in South Africa)
  • To make people in Europe aware of the various social and political aspects of water supplies in the South e.g. desertification, land conflicts and war for water etc.
  • To stimulate more direct, positive participation in the life process in a more responsible way.
